Our History
Nemo-Q International AB was founded in 1978 by two inventive college students, Lars Jarder and Bengt Ahlström. They recognized the need for an effective queuing system that not only helped businesses streamline their operations but also made things easier for their customers. Instead of standing in a physical line and waiting for their turn, people could now take a number and sit down to read or do something else while they waited to be served. The concept of "active waiting time" was thus born.
Today, both the company and its range of systems and products have grown. From being a small local innovator in Sollentuna, the company is now a world-leading supplier of various queue and customer flow systems. Number dispensers, displays, number tickets, and especially software can be delivered in a variety of configurations to meet today''s diverse needs for queue and customer flow management. The company is represented in more than 60 countries worldwide and serves about 75% of the Scandinavian market.
The headquarters are still located in Sollentuna, about 20 kilometers north of Stockholm. The proximity to Arlanda Airport and commuter trains makes travel easier for both employees and visitors.
The company handles everything from orders, inventory management, marketing, and development to production and delivery. From Sollentuna, both the Swedish and international markets are managed.
